One Big Surprise

As my dad approaches his 90th birthday, my plans for a big surprise are underway.

All but 3 of my cousins are coming to surprise him on Saturday - for lunch!! I have got all the necessary to make the day go with a pop - photo! I was sad not to be able to get a 90 candle. I had to buy a big sparkly firework called a cake fountain. How can he blow that out???

I once saw in the Broons Book when grandpa was 80 , Ma Broon put 2 x 40 watt bulbs on his cake. I fancied something like this - but it was just too hard - so cake fountain it is!! I will also have one candle so that he can make a wish...

One of you very dear blippers suggested getting him a voice recorder for his birthday - job done!! Thank you! Susan has found him one which will be fantastic. Easy to use and it will record all the wonderful memories he still so sharply has. I know how lucky I am.
