On mummy's phone.

When I get my phone back (and can see what that message is that arrived 15 minutes ago!) I'll get the picture off it that I took earlier. It was hugely blurry but I'm going to put it on flickr and link to it because it is such an achievement. (Edit: got my link done!)

Went out this morning to a mini sling-meet at a new friend's house, and have come home with a lovely Hopp Acapulco wrap (borrowed of course - I can't afford a wrap at the moment!). Halfway home Ben decided he didn't want to ride his bike any more, and a little later after that he decided that walking wasn't an option either - THANK GOODNESS I happened to have a wrap in the trolley! We managed a very good effort I think, particularly good for only my second attempt. Managed to get him on my back, high enough up to be comfortable for both of us, and tied so that there was no pressure on the bump and he was secure enough.

We got home and he announced that he liked having a cuddle on mummy's back :)

I liked it too. It was lovely to be that snuggly close again, and still have my hands free to pull the trolley along and carry his bike... Once Bean is born it'll be cold enough to have the bean wrapped up in the moby on my front, and Ben on my back in a mei tai - if necessary!

Nap and swimming is the order of the day now. (Well, nap hopefully. I know I need one) And then my brother is coming this evening, and his wifey tomorrow, because this weekend we're moving the downstairs upstairs and generally starting to get ready for the builders to move in a week on Monday!! HURRAH!!!! How excited am I! They're taking out a wall to make two small rooms into one bigger room, and taking out a chimney breast in the kitchen so we can actually seat people all the way around our giant table, and putting all the steelwork in so that the structural side of things is in place for when (if) we get around to doing a proper attic conversion.

I like the idea of writing down the Good Things. So I am going to do that today.

Good things:
- new friends
- woven wraps
- balance bikes
- cuddles
