Did you get my good side?

This little fella was born two weeks ago and had his first outing to the public at Longleat today, and we were fortunate enough to be there for that auspicious occasion.

We did the safari park this afternoon, having decided to wait until the weather had cooled a bit as otherwise you spend money to peer into the shade and see lumps of fur lying on the ground to stay out of the sun (while we melt in our cars of course).

I could have blipped loads of shots and considered doing a composite but decided that this was a special day for this giraffe and as these animals are amongst my favourite creatures, plumped for this one.

His name is Layway, although that me not be the correct spelling.
