Back to the Island

I drove up today from Seattle with the 3 older grandkids. I was nervous about the border since Tatum doesn't have a pass. (her Dad is too stubborn to get one which would prescreen and be a quicker line). So we left lots of extra time on this summer saturday and all was fine - 20 min at the alternate truck border- so we could have lunch at Macdonalds....and mess around at the terminal and buy candy apples and cupcakes.,.
This is the small ferry entering Active Pass, with the super ferry in the back heading from Vancouver to Victoria. Glad to be back - the kids were fine, but are wound up - it's past MY bedtime!
