drumming for Calgary

Went for a walk in Riley Park this afternoon to watch some cricket. Cricket here is driven by land of origin hence a mainly West Indian team, a mainly Indian or Pakistani team etc. although there is a lot of mixing as well as you would expect in Canada!

A blip of Waleed, who is not the fittest member of his team and resembles an unfit Mike Gatting, bowling some looping offspin for the Warriors nearly got my vote.

However, on the way there, I came across a group of drummers nearby. This man was giving a lesson to a half dozen Calgarians. The drumbeat seemed to create a relaxing, exotic and hypnotic ambience.

With the sound of leather on willow it seemed to capture the day for me, hence this is my blip for today.
