A beauty in Alberta farmland
This long home was built from fire damaged pine from Northern Alberta. After the fire the trees were left dead standing for 5 years, then felled, milled and used for this house. It sits on 160 acres of land south of Calgary with a fabulous view of the Bow River. This shot is taken across the second story. Bedrooms at the far end. A sitting room behind me.
P and I flew to Calgary at noon and drove south from the airport for about an hour into the gorgeous rolling Alberta countryside. A glorious sunny day.;-) A friend who owns this house was having a party to celebrate the artists who had helped him build it.
In Calgary for a few days work now. Backblipping this morning. Will try to stay better caught up. Just back into a busy work life. ;-)
