Mark took the day off to celebrate his 40th birthday and we made the most of the day to go for a round the city cycling trip. The weather was amazing so we went all the way to Kreuzberg, back via the canal to the government quarter, always following the canal and then the Spree river back to the Nikolai quarter. Then had a lovely lunch on the terrace of the Opernpalais at Unter den Linden and headed back home (with a stop at the KaDeWe for Rice Krispies - hard to get here, but at the KaDeWe, you get everything!).

Then had an icecream with the kids when we picked them up and are now competely knackered really.
