gardens at Hipping Hall

well, there's no doubt i'm one very lucky lady. after our wonderful week in the cottage in the Lakes, and a great BBQ yesterday, we had brunch with friends before they headed back to Crieff.

M then drove us to my surprise break destination! i've never been on a suprise holiday before... and here we are at the absolutely beautiful Hipping Hall near Kirkby Lonsdale. we arrived to be greeted with coffee and cake in the lounge... and dinner was a marvellous affair, including an 'amuse bouche' and... a 'pre-dessert'. yup, dessert before dessert. the restaurant is an enormously atmospheric Medieval hall. all in all, the place is magical.

and so here's a wee blip of one of the lovely flowers in the garden here which i took when we arrived and had an explore - it's a gorgeous place. (backblipping as i've not had time/internet access).
