Bad Marienberg#2
Heavy rain in the night, which I suppose is the best time to have it, followed by bright sun and showers today.
This morning we had a long wanderweg,, it would not have been so long if I had not left the map in the motorhome.... doh.
The wanderweg took in a ?Basalt Park,? which consisted of walking on a path around the rim of an ancient volcano, the crater of which was filled with water. At intervals they had big lumps of basalt and other igneous (?) boulders.
We then proceeded to the runderweg (circular walk) around the ?Wild Park,? I was keen to go here as it was free entry! We climbed a high viewing ?Hedwig?s Tower. The animals were varied and interesting, Dozy fawned .... groan over the deer, whilst Jacca liked the mad, smelly raccoons best.... typecast eh!
Later that afternoon a bright red old fire engine, complete with blue light and ladder, which had been converted in to a motorhome arrived at the stellplatz. The stellplatz was only a third full, and I had parked in such a way that I took up ¾ of a double pitch. Despite their being empty double pitches, the feuhrwagon reversed in to the ¼ of a pitch next to me, placing its self 1 metre away!
I looked at them and huffed (in English) to no avail. I tuned the radio to German techno rock and turned it up, but they still did not move.... I even told Dozy to get her saxophone out and play but they still stubbornly remained. (clearly not music lovers, or this would have moved them for sure)
As a last resort I got Jacca to play scales on saxophone.... even playing his harmonic minors failed to persuade them to drive on to an alternative pitch.
