It's a dogs life!

ANOTHER fab day at the beach!

Today is my mum's birthday! Yipppeeeee. Do you know, she is VERY old now. I asked her how old she was this morning but she wouldn't tell me, she said it is very rude to ask a lady her age!

I was VERY excited because we went to Marma's house in Exeter and met my lovely little cousins there. They had put banners and balloons outside the front door but I WAS NOT impressed with that. Mum was clapping her hands and saying ooooo look Lily but all I could see were those wierd scary balloon things...... so I grrrrrd and woofed ALOT. Then marma opened the door and zooooooooooomie bumtucks I shot in to see her and jump all over everyone! I LOVE my little cousins. They are soooo exciting and taste just so good that I really can't resist licking them Especially little L who is only 2 and just the right height!

Mum opened her pressies (she was VERY spoilt) and then we packed everything up and headed for THE BEACH.....yippppppppppeeeeeeee!

I had a FANTASTIC time with little G. She is nearly 5 and very grown up. She throws the ball into the sea for me loads and we investigate things that look quite good to eat (like dead crabs and things, which is what we are doing in this photo!)

We stayed for a few hours and then we all had icecreams back at the car, well they did, hummmpppphhhh I am not allowed because of my sensitive tummy :-(

When we got back to marma's house we got mum's birthday cake out and sang her a happy birthday. I really wasn't sure about the candles though. They are just wierd, they are hot and flicker around a lot, I wasn't sure if one was going to jump off the cake and get me. Just too wierd...... I had to be persuaded with a lot of treats to pose for that photo.

Now, when mum saw the cake she said wow 11 candles.... I am only 11 today how fantastic. Then little G piped up and said "NO Aunty Sarah, there is just not enough room for how many YOU would need" tee hee..... mum would need 3 and a 1/2 times that amount *giggle*

I hope you like this picture. We were rather pleased with how it came out. Mum was playing with settings again. I know you probably would have preferred a shot of me and the cake but this one won! I hope you like the cake one on flickr?!

I am very tired now and mum has had a few glasses of bubbly, so I expect there will be a lot of snoring going on in a minute ;-)

Bye for now
