A huge day. Emerson's 1st birthday party in the morning by the beach and Pierce's 3rd birthday 2hrs away in Riverside in the afternoon.

Fantastic day and so glad we managed to celebrate both parties: meeting up with our closest friends in California first thing for a water splash party at a school we're keen on looking at further for Callum (only with the proviso that he may need some coaxing away from all the fun outdoor play areas) and later with our new friends in CHARGE.

This little wise man you see here needs your thoughts and prayers as he prepares for a huge challenge in his life. God bless him and keep him safe. Mama Amy let me hold him for oh such a lovely long time! I felt as if I were holding Reuben, and so I photographed him in a way I would often capture Reuben, the little details.

Arriving home, the boys were excited about the "two!" parties and Reuben would say "happy birthday party".
