And so did James the second, in the 16th century house beyond this early 19th century gatehouse in the centre of lovely underrated Shrewsbury in the Welsh Marches.

One of many blips on a walk around the town to show it off to my sisters and brother in law ,who knows it well, and ending up in a fine hostelry and drinking Oracle, a very traditional ale. It's a hard life!
