Pink
My lunchtime walks poking around with my camera are on hold at them moment as I'm keeping older son company over his lunch break while he's doing some casual work. I'm having to rely on the garden for blip opportunities when I get home.
This is one of the frothy pink double flowered hollyhocks that I planted back in April. Despite being immediately attacked by rust, the plant is flowering really well and has lovely bright pink flowers. I like the layers of pink petals in this photo. I'm hoping that the hollyhocks will get established in the garden - I've tried several times. In our last house with only about an inch of poor quality soil, we had endless plants in all manner of colours.
