Furka Pass Day

Furka Pass, one of the premier passes in Switzerland.

Taken me many years to work this out as I'm sure the traffic over the passes has been increasing substantially over the years. But I'm sure that this is the pass that seems to be leading the pack these days.

Not many great cars on the pass today, well, certainly not when I had the camera out.

Decided on this shot a few hours earlier, and would you believe I sat crouched down in the road for a good 10 minutes before a bike finally came along. No sooner had I got in position did the pass just go empty - and it's not like they can avoid me. Bit of a precarious position as there's a 500 foot drop about a foot behind me.

Eventually a biker did come along and I got the shot. Would have preffered a better bike mind, but I wasn't convinced other motorists could see the crouching guy in the road and my sense of self preservation got the better of me.
