Grains three

The day started with rain and then became cloudy. No harvest. Time to do other jobs that need doing around the farm. Another calf born yesterday.

This is the end product of some of the crops we have grown this year:
on the left is the slippery Linseed, in the middle are the Oats and the other is Wheat. We will concentrate on harvesting the oats first before doing the wheat. Apparently it is quite normal for the husk to remain with the oat grain - I am not sure how they are processed after leaving the farm. If the quality is good they will go for breakfast cereal.

The laboratory test came back on the Linseed sample and the grade is fairly high but it will be tested again with a more stringent method.
