Welcome Back

Lunch with the girls today was very animated. It was glorious to sit back and relax in their company once more. Hands are flying here there and everywhere. Peels of laughter ring out, a calmness descends and our world is whole again.

These girls and I haven't been out together for quite some time. I have cancelled on them at least 3 times, so today was a bit special. The opening toast of pink fizz was to welcome me back. Of course, I've not been far, but I have been distant. These girls, and a few others have held me together, patched me up, sorted my family with clothes and food and wrapped me up in love and warmth.

All I had to do was foot the bill. They know, that when the time comes, for whatever reason, I will be there for them too.
