Food Festival

We headed into town for the food festival in Holyrood park this morning.

Due to all the rain there was no parking on the grass and we ended up (and were lucky to get a space) next to St Margaret's Loch which was overflowing quite impressively.

I took a couple of shots of St Anthony's Chapel as we walked back towards the Palace (I really should go up to it someday).

One of the first things we were handed as we walked in was a Gin & Tonic from the stables of Mr Hendricks - just a shame I don't like cucumber which was in the gin (and the glass).
A nice start though.

I stood for a while and listened to the flamenco guitarist (who was really good).
The footwork and drumming of the dancers was quite impressive too.
(They are playing at the Art College at 8pm each evening if you are interested)

Another performer worth seeing is the violinist who plays it like a guitar (but I have no idea where she is playing).

It is a shame I was driving because there were lots of samples of booze being given away - but there were also plenty food samples to try (the ice cream from Belhaven Fruit Farm - who also do a nice line of ciders - was a highlight).
