Canapé & Champagne

Good day at work today, followed by a lovely evening out with friends.Met Mrs P and our friend Randa off the train in Edinburgh, took in a street act, then run the gauntlet of the High Street at 5pm to get to Canapé & Champagne in the Signet Library before being joined by G.

Twas ever so posh, so we were well behaved and quaffed the bubbly and eat the food before wandering around, having dinner, then heading to a show.

Yep, broke our Fringe Virginity and went to a show - Sam Simmons Meanwhile and Things. He was funny, the show a little odd, but everyone enjoyed it. He definitely put his all into it as was soaking wet in sweat by the end of it!

I think he toned his act down a little as some inconsiderate trying to be trendy parents people had brought along 11 & 13 year old kids to the show, and during the act he repeatedly asked the parents if they were sure they wanted the kids to be there as "we go some places". They were sure, so off he went talking about all sorts and taking his masturbation sketches to a point that normally i think he would go further with had they not been there. I certainly wouldn't have wanted my kids of the same age there (who were by that time tucked up in bed at their Grandparents house) and neither would anyone else Ive spoken to since, but each to their own.

Great night out.
