Pakistan Zindabad!!

64th Independence day of my beloved country. My country which is tainted with the words terrorism and extremism ... my poor bleeding country. Many of what you hear and see on television is true and sad, but there is ALOT about Pakistan that you do not know ...

A country with all seasons, and immense beauty, a country with all the resources to self-sustain itself, yet is made to beg for aid because of greedy leadership. Ofcourse when the leadership is like the one we have these days, the country will be exploited by external forces to the fullest and yes they have exploited us for their own personal gains and yes our leaders have let them exploit us for their own personal gains. No one has thought of Pakistan and us the general public of Pakistan; only of themselves ... and the blame goes entirely to our selfish leaders.

Pakistan is still intact because of its people and the prayers of its people. The people of Pakistan are probably one of the most hospitable people you will ever come across. They will open their homes and hearts for you. They will go hungry but feed their guests. Although a third world country, It is one of the most charitable nations in the world (4th Most charitable country). Yes, we give from our own pockets to the people who need our help.

With all that is happening to us and around us, we still have alot of hope in our hearts and hence, we celebrate our independence day with full zeal and vigor, like this child who is getting himself painted.

Many find the situation of Pakistan pitiable, but I don't. I am full of hope and I hope and pray that Pakistan will come out of this adversary stronger than ever before, its just a matter of finding brave and proactive leaders. Pakistan has the potential to be the next Japan and by the grace of God, it will rise. I just hope I get to see its real glory in my lifetime.

A must watch for all who rely solely on the media: Nation on the verge of a Nervous Breakdown by Fatima Bhutto. By the way, which country is not having a nervous breakdown? Its not just Pakistan, mind you!!!
