Dubai Day 1
Before I start my travelogue, I have to say "Happy Birthday Pakistan" ... May God bless you and help you in this hour of need ...
Left for the airport early in the morning.
Landed in Dubai approx 12:30 pm local time.
After immigration and purchasing a local mobile number, reached the hotel at about 2:pm.
Had a late lunch at about 4:00pm.
Now in the room, resting before we head out.
This is the view of the creek from our hotel room. Not very happy with it and will probably replace it, later at night as soon as I find a better replacement.
It's just that I had to update my blip ... lol
Update:
Muslims are exempted from fasts if they are traveling. Therefore, we did not fast today. Ramzaan in Dubai is a special occasion. It is illegal to eat and drink out in the open. There are special places, where tourists can go to at meal times. There are people from all nationalities here even in Ramzaan. That was a surprising fact for me.
Went out for a walk along the creek and it was beautiful. That was all we could do today. We plan to go to the other side tomorrow on one of these and see the old Dubai. Will take a better picture for my blip then.
I have come to a concrete conclusion that my camera does not take good pictures at night and indoors. They come out pretty grainy. Today I was just pointing and shooting as I did not have enough time to experiment with Manual. I will set up albums of my trip day-wise and share them when I go back home.
That's it for now ... Goodnight from Dubai!!
