Capital adventures

Sorry guys ....

More toing and froing on buses today but at least the sun shone.

SBC lunch at 'Cucina' in the Missoni Hotel. I wasn't impressed. Ok, we got a good deal but the service was slow, the food was adequate, well less than adequate, and uninspiring AND, unless you asked specifically for it, they didn't offer folk the free tap water, just the expensive bottled kind. However, as usual the company was good and that made up for it.

After I had a 'stroll' down the Royal Mile, fighting my way through the crowds and the performers. The cast of 'My Big Fat Italian Wedding' were pushing their show outside St Giles. I wanted a good bubbles blip but people kept getting in the way! I was given a comp ticket for to-night but Lothian Buses (and sheer tiredness) conspired against me, so sorry guys, didn't make it.

I think I'm running out of Fringe enthusiasm. Getting anywhere is such an effort. The streets are crowded, the buses are full and it's even worse when they break down, like the #11 this evening.

Molly missed me (or missed the cat food more like). She was miaowing behind the door when I got home for the second time today. Now she's curled up beside me on the couch and I'm multitasking as usual - writing, texting and watching 'The Rabbit Proof Fence'.
