....Ooooh Barracuda......
OK, ok........it's not a barracuda....but it is a predator....its got teeth and defensive spines and gill rakers.
This is a perch.....a bloody big one.....and I caught it today.
Perch are predatory fish.....they eat other fish and water creatures......they have very spiny fins so that if something tries to eat them they erect the fins and the spines in them stop other, bigger predatord from swallowing them.
Most perch that get caught are small...less than 8oz....but this beast weighed in at just under two pounds.......about 12 inches (30cm) long.............and it fought like hell. It's the biggest perch I've ever caught, so I was well pleased with myself.
Other news:
1. Charlie visited again and is getting more and more gorgeous every day.
2. Charlie is coming again tomorrow so the S & H and YH can got out for the evening.
3. Dad is visiting on Wednesday and staying until next Sunday so plenty of chances to blip him.
4. The Daughter got a parking ticket yesterday!
5. I may have some news on the camera front soon.
