Bloodied Monument
You may recall (doubtful) that some blips ago I mentioned A getting punched in the face and getting her eyebrow cut open. Today I was wandering through Chatelet and revisited the scene of the altercation, and discovered that the blood she had wiped off her hands onto a conveniently placed monument was still there. Kind of gross, but also kind of awesome - she has left a fairly permanent mark on Paris! (It has rained since six weeks ago, so it's clearly not going anywhere fast.)
Anyway. Today was a long day, but a good one. I woke up lateish, after having spent Wednesday largely in a sleep deprived daze, and was just hanging around not being productive when my friend came online and informed me that his friend was hostelling in Paris by himself and would I be up for meeting up with him and showing him round a bit? Of course, I was, so I met up with aforementioned friend, R, and we wandered round the centre of Paris for a while! It was really nice, and he was pretty cool. In the evening we went back to his hostel to see his friends, and I got talking to three guys - S, D and M. R disappeared after a while, then came back and informed me he was going to bed, and I stayed chatting to these guys. They then walked me to my night bus stop and invited me to come sight seeing with them the next day! I gladly accepted.
