Like it? Yes I do!
I don't know who this car belongs to. But I like it!
The Citroen 2CV (Deux Chevaux) was in production from 1948-90.
The design brief was for an "umbrella on four wheels", able to drive two peasants, in clogs, to market across a ploughed field, without breaking any eggs.
Motoring writer LJK Setright called it "the most intelligent application of minimalism ever to succeed as a car".
It's long travel suspension & high ground clearance made it suitable for the poor roads & farm tracks of rural France, & gave it it's characteristic Rock'n'Roll.
Total production of the 2CV & it's derivitives was 8,756,688 vehicles.
Oh! And we're off on holiday for a bit. Catch up with you soon!
