Easter Sunday Lunch

I was invited to join some of my Greek Cypriot friends for their Easter Sunday lunch. Traditionally, they would have been fasting for the last 7 weeks or so and so this meal contains tons of meat. Here Andreas is taking the lamb souvla off the barbeque...already the pork and chicken have been taken to the table and the liver, sheftalia and more lamb are still waiting to go.
The sumptuous spread was produced by Ellena (Dinos' mum) and Dinos and Andreas. As always there was far more food than was necessary and someone will be eating it for the rest of the week.

Isn't it always the case that you get 2 or 3 excellent blips on the same day? I had a great picture (probably better than this one) of some swifts in a rubber tree...great colours... but Easter is a once (or at most twice) a year occasion and I joined blip to record those events
