Snapshooter's Diary

Viva la Diva!

I haven't had a chance to enjoy culture this summer, not nearly enough. Today was an exception, and I drove to Turku to see Karita Mattila's concert in the park of Turku Castle. These kind of high-profile outdoor concert are extremely rare in Finland, and Karita Mattila's concert is almost as rare. After all, she is our best-known soprano and very busy singing in Metropolitan and other world's top opera houses.

The concert was really nice, as was the milieu and even the weather was on our side. Our seats were almost in the back row, and from there to stage - well, 150 meters at least. So, I was able to sit back and fully enjoy the music since I knew that there is no chance for a decent photo.

When the concert was almost over, I took a few souvenir snaps, just to prove to myself that ISO1600 is too much for my tiny Powershot.
