Photo resurrection first attempt
Gorgeous morning with blue skies as found in this image.
My father asked me to correct an old photo of my late uncle that I had taken from my grandparents a few years ago with the intention of fixing it up.
The original was every shade of beige and yellow with a pink colour cast over the skin tones and a bleaching "halo" around his body.
I have never really tried to do anything so complex on Photoshop, and it may have driven me slightly mad, but thankfully I have started to get somewhere. This is my uncle Ian "Bunny" Pearce. He played Rugby League for Queensland well before the State of Origin began, and this is him in his 1974 uniform. He was tragically killed in an accident nearly 20 years ago, and hopefully I can get this all sorted and looking great for Father's Day for my grandfather.
Rupert McCall, an Australian Poet, wrote a poem in memory of him, and it appears below.
Bunny
I was only just a young bloke then
I s'pose a little shy
And I went to Dolphin Oval
With a sparkle in me' eye
I loved those games of footy
1'd sit and watch them play
And I dreamt that I would be there
I would make the grade one day
And though the days are passing
For that little Dolphins Fan
The one thing I recall
Is that I loved to watch the man
A man of special talent
One of hero - not of villain
A man, who when a team mate called,
His heart was always willin'
And when the battle ended
And the children made their raid
Many players vanished
But one man always stayed
He stayed to sign our books
Until the final book was signed
His hand was always gentle
His heart was always kind
I don't know where where he's playing now
But somewhere, he'll be playing
His soul has found a footy field
That is what I'm praying
I know, one day, I'll meet him
When the will of God is done
I won't forget you Bunny
I'll see you later son

Not the best photo manipulation but I am blown away with what I have achieved today.
