A seasider's view

Sunny day, wind and waves

A great day to be a Seasider. Got a phenomenal amount of washing done today (boring but necessary and such great drying day!).

Finally ventured forth in the late afternoon with the Young Seasider, on bikes, to cycle along the shore to Stevenston then on to Ardrossan and home to Saltcoats. Nice wee jaunt in the sun.

I knew it was blowy, but I hadn't counted on the waves as the tide came in - I couldn't believe my luck! However, I also hadn't reckoned on how tricky it is catch the crash of the waves on the sea banking, so I came away with loads of shots...

We had a great time watching, and dodging, waves - to my daughter's delight, she got caught by the spray a few times.

I opted for this one in the finish, as it shows a fairly straight horizon out to Troon, and catches the colours of the water, foam and sky. Great day for interesting clouds too - pity it's just one shot a day :o)
