How amazing is this place?

Beautiful day, so thought we would explore the region a bit and made our way to Penne to explore its ruined castle perched on this impregnable pinnacle.

Lunch in the village under trees and a good few hours exploring this magical place was a wonderful way to pass the day.

Stinking hot though which saw the children dash was one shady place to another! Luckily a swim later than afternoon saw them regain their cool!
