Jungle City

Granny & Grandpa stayed over with us last night. Shame Ethan decided to do another silly o'clock start by waking us all up at 5.10am! Hubbie did the early shift today though - phew!

Unfortunately by mid morning hubbie wasn't feeling very well so wasn't able to join the rest of us on a trip to the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh to see the Jungle City sculptures. We started off with a picnic before going for a walk round the gardens. Ethan had one of his few public meltdowns but was soon charmed into being his usual happy self when he spotted all the hornbills, tigers, crocodiles, monkeys and elephants. He seemed to like the tigers and crocodiles the best and had great fun climbing over / sitting on them.

Hubbie had felt a bit better while we were out though and made us another lovely homecooked dinner. Ethan did a pretty decent job of feeding himself although I have to say, out of everything hubbie had made, it was the basic mashed potato which went down the best!!

By the time we'd finished dinner though I wasn't feeling great either and got another migrane. I ended up in bed just before Ethan - before 7pm in my case - to try to sleep it off!
