No Cars.....

..in Discovery Bay! Just buses and golf carts!

Discovery Bay is described as resort style living, which is exactly what it is - but on a large scale, the buses are air conditioned (even in winter brrrr) and they take you to and from every possible residential development. Whilst it's not somewhere I feel I could live for the long term, for now, it's fantastic. DB is on the north east coast of Lantau Island which is just a short ferry ride away from Central Hong Kong, and close to the airport. We have easy access to pools and tennis courts, bars and restaurants and there are after school activities galore, as with everything in Hong Kong, all of this of course come at a price and sometimes it's hard to get the kids to understand why they can't do everything on offer, but - for the kids especially, it's a culturally rich life . And, all a short bus ride away.....!
