Out early this morning with the spaniel. There was a very heavy dew overnight leaving the heathers and gorse bushes festooned with spider webs. I also noticed a number of very large white cocoons at the top of several gorse bushes which had also caught the dew. I don't know why but I assume they are made by the caterpillars of a moth of some type?
