Drum Circle
This past weekend was filled with a LOT of beers. Saturday we went on a public transportation pub crawl. Yesterday, I was awarded my second plate at the Flying Saucer. Not only do they put up a plate, they give the recipient a $100 credit to spend on beer. A friend of mine who is a much more serious drinker, was having his FOURTH plate party, and he received $125. So much merriment transpired. I had lots of good pictures of rows of taps and revelers, but I don't want to have basically the same pictures two days in a row. You all might think that I am a drunk.
One of the revelers is the pastor of a new "church" that I attend. It is an attempt to provide spiritual environment for people living in downtown Fort Worth that have not been attracted to a church before. We meet at a tavern - funny that seems to be a recurring theme in my life - on the first and third Sunday at 5 p.m. Last night we had a drum circle. We didn't sit in a circle. I didn't have a drum. Instead I had tambourine. But after an afternoon of fine beers, it really didn't matter much to me. I had a great time. I even was able to commune two bartenders. I bet that not too many folks can say that.
