No Working During Drinking Hours
Today Debbie and I along with about 40 other folks went on the Cap and Hare Annual Public Transportation Pub Crawl to Dallas. I think a great time was had by all. I always enjoy going out with such a wide variety of people. I as always was The Old Guy. That is a role I really love. People expect less from you and when you excel, they are astounded. And on occassion, people feel sorry for me and buy me a beer.
This is the taps behind the bar at the Gingerman in Dallas, Texas. Anyone who likes beer and visits Dallas needs to go here just to experience the variety of beers we serve here in the United States. American beers, English Beers, Irish Beers, German Beers and my favorite Belgian Beers. Today was 107 degrees so it must have been beer drinking weather.
One of the modes of public transportation here is the M Street Car Line. A street car used to run the M Line in Dallas a long time ago. To recapture some of that history, they went out and obtained some OLD street cars. A couple from Dallas, but many from all over the world. If you follow the link below, you can see a picture of Rosie. She is well over 100 years old and was built in Philadelphia and operated in Brazil. The operators are all volunteers. Riding the street car is free and is a great way to enjoy a hot August Saturday.
Home now. Had to edit the images of the pub crawl for public consumption. Off to bed so that I can get up ready for church.
