Home Guard ('Dad's Army')
I took this Blip while the Home Guard were going through some drill exercises at the 'Fly to the Past' airshow at Oxford airport (Kidlington), UK.
It was a great show but what was really great was the amount of people that dressed up in 1930's up to 1960's costumes.
I met General McArthur, Hercule Poirot, a GI from the Vietnam war, a 'Yomper' from the Parachute Regiment in the Falklands war, and so many others really dressed for the occassion.
You can see two ladies in the background of this photo who were looking after the exhibits in the Home Guard tent which included 'An encyclopaedia of needlework', WW2 gas-masks etc.
Loads of vintage cars as well and old aircraft from as far back as the 30's.
