It's in the detail

Cold, bleak, raining today as it was yesterday. My highlight today was a 1.5km swim in the raining in a heated outdoor pool. I think it may be the best place to be when the weather is a bit cold and miserable. A hidden secret I now know about. Curse the cousin who had roped me into my first mini triathlon this coming August.

I had to dig into my drawer and found this old piece of coral and it was not until I looked at the image I noticed the black and white grains of sand that are caught in it.

Each grain of sand is a fraction of a millimetre in size. Oh how I love macro and all the detail in the smallest things.

Here's to better weather and the prospect of a more interesting Blip tomorrow.
