Put th'Kettle On

Here I have a complicated tale for you, for a change. My Mum is moving house at the end of this week and so she won't have her cooker wired/plumbed in for a couple of days. She doesn't have a plug-in kettle but she does have one which boils on the gas stove so she said she would buy a plug-in kettle as she couldn't do without a cuppa for a matter of hours, let alone days. Then she said she would buy a new kettle, for the few days and that she'd give it to me once her cooker was up and running again....so I got to choose the new kettle and chose this!! So why do I already have the kettle and not my Mum? Well, she took my kettle and let me have this brand new one. Graham thinks I'm barmy. I just tell him to read the kettle as on the opposite side to the one I've photographed it says: "Put the kettle on, Lad." I might get away with never having to brew up again, seeing as I'm the only non-lad in the house.
