Water tower, Wakkerstroom Railway Station

Long disused, the station buildings (out of frame on left) are today used as a pub for local farmers. Some of the infrastructure remains however.

This crane has been bleached by many decades of the highveld sun, it's rubber hose long perished.

The eucalyptus tree on the right shows many barren branches - sure evidence of a lengthy drought. A late autumn sky provides a perfect dramatic, cloud-free backdrop.
