A Dog's Dinner

Cherry Ripe

When April's gentle rains have pierced the drought
Of March right to the root, and bathed each sprout
Through every vein with liquid of such power
It brings forth the engendering of the flower
G Chaucer

We managed to get back into the woods today in between the April showers which were definitely piercing the droughts of March - big time.

We struck gold, a copse of fallen wild cherry which was just the right size for the stove and very dry but too small for woodworking- perfect. So for a few hours work we managed to get enough logs to last for a week and lots more left.

My assistant did let me done somewhat by spending all the time chasing rabbits, not catching, just chasing.
