Where in the World is Irene?

Today at Wrightsville Beach the surf has increased with some really good waves. There is little wind, and surprisingly so most of the buildings along the beach have not been boarded up. Tonight the tracker is calling for Irene to be a bit closer to our area and perhaps making landfall 50 miles up the coast - not very far. We'll see soon enough. There were lots of sunbathers on the beach today along with surfers of all ages.
