Wizard of Oz!

Today was Book Fair Parade day where everyone dressed as their favorite book character. Jack announced yesterday at about 4:00 pm that he was the wizard of Oz and needed a green shirt. This is the first I'd heard of it. Great.

On the plus side, he said he had made the rest of the costume at school.

That turned out to be a mask and a party hat.

Some kids went to amazing lengths with their costume, some couldn't be bothered, and one kid was in school uniform carrying a toy ray gun. I don't think I read the book that his character came from...

Jeanine had surgery on her shoulder today. Lots of pain and still groggy.
