The Monster!

This is the monster in our backyard. It's a palm that has been left alone for over 20 years. Here is my mate Paul working at clearing some of the fronds in an effort to bring it under control.

This thing is huge. It's probably over 8 meters tall and has a diameter of about 4 meters at the base.

After a huge effort today (and a lot of cuts and bruises), we have nearly all of the fronds off.

I may blip the finished result tomorrow.
