Now what?

Found a load of snails rather near the lettuces so threw them onto the lawn, and must admit I was hoping the birds would find them.
This one landed upsidedown and was doing contortions trying to work out how to get moving. It took quite a while but he did finally right himself though he looks an easy target for the birds as I notice the shell is cracked - I don't remember standing on him.
