Clematis Mrs Cholmondsley (no, you don't say it like that - it's pronounced Chumley!), by night after rain. Once established this Clematis produces huge flowers which start mauve and fade though shades of blue and silvery grey. A large expanse of them in different colour phases produces a beautiful patchwork effect. One of my favourite Clematis.
