Just a little white moth

This morning when I was out on the back deck, I noticed a little white moth perched on the leaf of a pepper plant. As I got closer, I saw that the moth was not actually white but a pale smoky grey color. As I looked even more closely, I could see it had streaks of pale blue and dark grey running across its wings.

This made me wonder just how many times we think we see something entirely different from what we really see!
