Seven Year Itch

Wedding Anniversary today: 8 years, phew, past that tricky 7 year problem then...?

This is my present from the lovely Mr MT. I have coveted a fab food mixer for 30 years now since using my mam's utilitarian Kenwood Chef as a (very) young girl. I know, I know, I should now be directing you to some kind of feminist tract on how these devices enslave women to the kitchen, but the fact is I like baking and with one of these it feels so much more chic than bashing away with a wooden spoon for hours.

So I'm delighted with my present and constructed a whole pudding around my new "beast of cake" (christened by my daughter): mereingue with Drambuie cream and berries. Yum.
