Gimme the dough!

This year's village show included a category for bread, so I baked a couple of loafs and selected one for the competition. Mrs jml & I ate half of the other one last night, and one half went to Mrs Holly this morning.

Jess & Molly obviously think that the bread is a winner - you can see them begging for a crust. They did not get it, however. Mrs Holly loves a well-fired loaf, and this treat was reserved all for herself.

I wish that the judges had been as discerning as Jess & Molly. I got third prize - of 3 entries!

(Never mind: Mrs jml's peppermint creams got a 1st prize [third time in five years]; and Mrs Holly's leak & potato soup also got a 1st.)
