Furnace Lass

Its Bitsy, Teeny Weeny.......

"She wore an itsy,-witsy,
teeny - weeny , yellow, polka dot bikinin.
That she wore for the fist time today. "

This was a cake made by our village postmaster for today's men only baking competition at our Village Fun Day. I really liked this particular one , which was one of a whole range of amazing designs, all larger than life and completely OTT.

I had so many blip opportunities, with the flower and veg displays, garden beasties , jubior and senior football games ( could make a fortune out of the images from the senior game showing many jersey pulling , heavy shoulder tckles, nasty Tackles etc -- the golden oldies are extremely competitive ).

The wheelbarrow race almost made it as my blip tonight with so many different facial expressions and all shapes and sizes in the whellbarrows with their partners pushing them past the old Furnace. Beautiful warm sunlight producing lovely long shadows and glorious blue sky completed a wonderful advert for our small Argyll village.

Instead what does it say about us when I chose this cake to give you an idea of the characters who live here ?

All the cakes were auctioned off and our recently retired school cook got in with the highest bid for the bikini cake.

So now the day is almost over and we're off to the Scottish Disco, one wonders what exactly will happen at that. Should John and the boys were kilts and carry claymores ? We shall see.
Hope you all had a great day.
Mary

Must add the placard was on the cake stand , I just did some selective work to that part and added a page curl to give it a wee bit of oomph!
