Piedra Negra
A real short working week in Singapore for me. There's a public holiday tomorrow and I fly back to Scotland on the midnight flight.
I found myself lunching alone (which is unusual) in a vibrantly painted Mexican place called the Piedra Negra. Being alone I was thinking and not talking (the two aren't always mutually exclusive, but....), giving my brain time to come up with this little loop.
Piedra Negra means black stone in Spanish, this restaurant is on the edge of the Arab quarter, the Black Stone is a holy relic in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, tonight is Eid-al-Fitr (the end of Ramadan), which is why I have tomorrow off work.
After that I tried to prove black was white, a la hitch-hiker's guide to the galaxy, but decided I like zebra crossings.
Eid Mubarak......
