Vorokhta

Vorokhta was the deepest into the Carpathian NP we went. Famed for it's bike hire and it's proximity to Mt. Hoverla (the tallest mountain in Ukraine) and not much else. It was relaxing to be in such rural settings though.

Saving ourselves for Mt Hoverla the next day we took it easy when we arrived. We took a small walk into some woods where we got overly anxious about bears and then had dinner at our chalet/guesthouse.

As you can see the area was so quiet that most people used the train tracks as a path. There were only about 3 trains a day and to be fair even if one did come up behind you, you could probably carry on walking and still beat it to its destination. True molluscs of the locomotive world are those Soviet trains.
